ARMADA 2 CLANS

Those You'll Be Seeing In Armada 2

When Metro3D announced Armada 2 and its online play capability, they also announced the support for "clans." The Shadow Knights were the first group of people to band together, and since then, many clans have come and gone. At one point in time, so many popped up at once that they were impossible to keep track of! Some perservered, and remain active as of today; but will they still be around when Armada 2 is finally released?

Below is a list of all the clans that have been recorded, their founder/leader, and other interesting information about them. Thanks to rOy64 of the SK 64th for trying to keep tabs on all the clans with his Clan List. To see the active clans' homepages, click here. If any changes need to be made, please contact skitch - dogma@skitch.net.

ACTIVE CLANS:
DOGMA, skitch - A mercenary group that has been around since the beginning and has remained neutral in clan affairs. Recruitment always open.
Shadow Knights, Captain Tylor - The first, and still the largest, group of pilots banded together by Captain Tylor. An honorable and worthy clan, but don't get your hopes up about joining - its ranks are full.
SK 64th, rOy64 - An independent spin-off of the Shadow Knights. Accepting members who want to want to fly with a maverick group, but still can be known as Shadow Knights.
Dragon Fire Clan, Ares - One of the newer clans to have made a big name for itself. Very active in the Armada community, and will most likely be a major player in the Armada 2 universe.
Phoenix Legionnaire Force, Enigma (founder), Faeton (leader) - An older clan, one of the first to offer a structured ranking system. Went through some troubles with the ACTP scandal (see below), and is now with its third Supreme High Commander. Hopefully this one can stick around long enough to make the PLF a force to be reckoned with.
Clan-Ex, PASAI - A clan that seemed to be formed just to rouse things up. Clan-Ex was the butt of a propoganda operation by the ACTP, but they seem to be recovering and doing well for themselves.
The Hive, SWAT - A fragment of Team Enforcer Clan that broke away due to internal troubles. All that is currently known is that SWAT is actually a new, reformed persona of TZ-1/Davone, the former leader of the Omega Faction Republic.

INACTIVE (or unknown status):
Omega Faction Republic, TZ-1/Davone - A group that picked up a lot of members and made strong alliances. But it was too much power too quickly. The OFR along with the PLF created the Armada Counter-Terrorist Pact (ACTP), a super-alliance of clans, that would have been a powerful force in the Armada 2 universe. They tried to make more alliances by impersonating and publicly humiliating PASAI and Clan-EX. This disgraceful plot was exposed, and TZ-1/Davone disbanded the OFR and quickly went into retirement. Although the OFR and ACTP are officially gone, the repercussions of their actions have caused a major ripple and still affect many others.
Supernova Defense Force, Ace - One of the first generation clans, this one never officially went away, but its members are rarely heard from.
X-Con, Parasite - Another one of the original clans, this one seemed to have promise. It was one of the first to show up, and to all of our dismay, it was one of the first to go.
Rodeo Clan, Texan - A shocker of a clan, because it was one led by a female! Unfortunately, life in another universe caught up to her, and the Rodeo Clan has been put on the back-burner for now.
Gun Bunnies - An Old Skool trouble-maker clan, they seemed like they might have been fun to fly with or against.
Angels of Death, Lucian - A clan led by the Lucian, the self-proclaimed "Clan-less One." Lucian had some impressive web skills, but he soon faded from the Armada community.
Black Knights, Kwax - A mysterious group that just popped up, claimed to be a clan, but supplied no other information. Their website is active, and an occasional recruitment post appears on the M3D forum - but they will be considered inactive until further is heard from them.
Cult of the Wyrm, Knyghtmare - Similar to the Black Knights, an occasional recruitment post, but not much else was ever heard from the Cult of the Wyrm.
Terran Alliance, Shadow Wolf - To be honest, I don't remember hearing of this group at all. They were listed on rOy64's Clan List, so I list them here also.
